Import IFC from Strakon!!

How do I import IFC file, which is been originated from DICAD software named Strakon? The Model is completely empty after the import of IFC file from Strakon.

If an IFC file from any software imports empty that file contains no intelligent data

If you open the file in an IFC viewer you will probably see the items, these are dumb 3D solids inside the IFC file called BREPs 

Advance Steel cannot import these items as there is nothing intelligent to convert them to Advance Steel beams

There are 2 things you can do

1. Ask for an export with IFC elements not BREPs so there is some intelligence 

2. Open the IFC file with AutoCAD architecture or Revit, these will see the BREPs as solid objects, you can then save or export as a DWG file which you can then open or XREF in Advance Steel and then model over the top of

maybe additional, if the ifc content is full of BREP, you also use a free ifc viewer for Exporting for example STP files for importing this. There's no Revit or Architectural AutoCAD needed

I used the fzk viewer in the past, if you Google for it you will find it.

We are not able to open the file in Advance steel software.

There's no attachement...

and as @robertwmerriman2  wrote, the reason could be the content of the IFC becaus Advance is not able to import all IFC.

The IFC file is not getting attach. But, the IFC file is opening and accessible in IFC viewer online(BIMspot).

I open it in the FZK Viewer and it looks ok to me, I found many ifc beams and so on but all these beams are looking like concrete beams, or walls and so on. This is the point, this elements could not be translate into AS Object, so AS will not import them

Maybe your viewer could export something like DWG or STEP? Or you go the way @robertwmerriman2 wrote with for example Revit

Suggest me an IFC viewer, which can export DWG file.

I'm not sure if there's a way for exporting dwg, I know some viewer could export stp files. I go the way by using Revit and then exporting a dwg (I attache it but I don't know if it's correct). I sad: the IFC contains beams and so on, butSteel objects in themodel are saved as proxyelements

I had the same issue in the past exporting IFC from SDS2 for use in Advance Steel. I had to export as EM11 IFC2x3 for AS to see anything at all.  I have no clue about your software but here's a shot from SDS2..

Attached is excel file of your IFC. Your file might not import if you are using US Imperial Advance Steel.
