I am pulling what little hair out over this. Why wont this grip rail loop? It will bend down but not loop.

It is necessary to see the parameters of the poles. The distance between them...this is the main cause of this trouble.

I just make sure my handrail is correct, then delete the handrail automation box, and add it by hand. Usually 2-3 minutes max.

99% of the time it's just as fast to draw up the centerlines of the rail and do it manually. If you're proficient in making rails, you're going to be more accurate and do exactly what the customer wants. Plus, you have full control if you need to move a post by a 1/16" (one or two mm) to make it easier for the shop fabricators to lay out - we always call the rounding errors that occur because of dividing a "floating sixteenth".
Messing around with macros always causes more headaches than it's worth to work completely. Sure you could have a macro get you part of the way there, but you're going to have to mess with the rail manually anyway. And it's almost every week that I see in this forum a post about handrail macros.
