Star new job, select template, save as .....My question is, Can I travel to server save and work there or should I save files in folders

on my C drive within Advance Steel?  Maybe it does not matter? I just want to be sure.

I work directly off our server. There is no need to save to your local disk and copy later. But if you really want to, you can. Just be sure to grab all the files. There is at least a folder named exactly like the .dwg file and a .mdb. There may be more (I am not 100% certain), but it is probably safer to work directly off the final location.

You can work from a server but for best performance it's better to save files onto the local drive. If you have a SSD drive it's also preferable. We have customers using both local and network so it's entirely up to your preference.

Thank you.

I will try to stay in my C drive unless a job is going to require useing Multi User function.

I know some sofware starts giveing wierd error messages and crashes when used with srever.

But I dont know what is SSD drive?

Hi,

A SSD (solid state drive) is a technology of hard drive which is more powerful than a traditional HDD (standard hard drive).

An SSD-equiped computer will boot in seconds, certainly under a minute.

It also lauches applications faster, and has faster overall performance.

Regards

Philippe
