I just used the stair anchor angle macro and it gave me the option of using Hilti KB3 expansion anchors. Nice! So why do the bolt connection macros on the output tab of the ribbon not include these Hiltis? All I get there is a list of obsolete Hilti parts. How do I get the Hilti KB3s in the bolt connection macro?

As usual, I make a post here and five seconds later discover the answer fooling around. Simply switch the bolt icon to the 'j' anchor icon and they're all there. Confusing a bit because the Hilti KB2s are all in the "bolt" section of the connection macro.

That is because in the past bolts and anchors were seen as one element, they split this many years back now into two different elements.

The hilti's where already in the system, so the process is to make the obsolete , leave them in place in case older models are used with these orginal type elements. These will still show in the current model.

Thanks for that added piece of information John. Now I know "the rest of the story".
