Spacer plate for "Direct Bolting" should have ability to rotate and ,change size? Picture below. Blue plate is automatic spacer plate. Brown plate is spacer plate desired as part of the intelligent connection.Direct Bolting.jpg

Hi @Anonymous,

Thank you for posting on Advance Steel forum 🙂

Currently, this joint is designed to create the spacer plate(s) using the directions of the 2 diagonals and their sections (dimension). There are no options to change the plate(s) shape or orientation. Sorry for that.

 

For now, if you want different orientation or dimensions, you could create the spacer plate(s) manually. Then you might use the Advance Copy tools, to multiplicate it in the model.

 

Maybe you could post a feature request on the Advance Steel Idea Station portal, to enhance the current joint (or to create a new one). So other users could vote or comment on it, while the development team is actively monitoring the portal.
