I have made a custom drawing style for my columns which gives all the views I need (top and bottom plates etc). However I need it to also show a separate detail for any cleats added. These cleats show up on the column but I also need them to be in a separate enlarged detail next to the column.
There is a picture attached of exactly what I need, but the only way I managed to get this was by doing a separate single part detail for the cleat and then copy and pasting it onto my column drawing. Is there a way to make it this happen automatically?
(Please ignore the labelling on the image I havent even got to that yet).
Many thanks

You need to use a drawing process that has a parts included, assembly with parts, depending which country version you are in there are some already built into the system.
also you need to change a management tool default , under the defaults search for duplicate drawing, you need to google this to allow the parts to be created in the assembly drawing, especially as you may also do separate single part files as well.
if you search this forum and google , you should find some example of this workflow.
