Is there supposed to be a database included when I install Advanced Steel 2016 student version? Thanks! I'm trying to figure out how to covert databases.

ther isent a proper database editor

but u can converdata base 

and edit installed database's

with the manegment tools / find it in tool tab

How do I access the database? Also, not all of the templates are showing in my file folder. Particularly, the dwt. template.

Hello,

you can access to the management tool (.EXE where you can access databases of advance steel) in the ribbon TOOL/ MANAGEMENT TOOL

about your second point, your .DWT template is located at this path:

C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Advance Steel 2018\"language"\Shared\Support\Templates

a last advice, starting with the 18 version, DATABASES of advance steel are in .MDF instead of .MDB (reglementation incoming)

So now you have to convert your old DATABASE .MDB in .MDF with the option available in the management tool.
