Railing Max Fabricated Length

Is there a setting somewhere to set the maximum length a single railing can be before dividing it up? 

As an example, lets say I have a straight run that's 100feet long. I am obviously not going to fab a 100 foot railing. I could split the members I'm attaching to I suppose and AS will create separate rails. I would rather set a constraint similar to the post spacing function.

To my knowledge, there isn't, and it sucks.

I go through the trouble of setting up my field splice locations prior to running the rail macro, so I know where to start & stop.  It's a pain to put it mildly.

Something I have done before is to do a short run of balustrade the length I want to fabricate then copy the whole thing including the joint box to complete the long run, then if I need to change anything I modify one short run and then transfer properties to the others.
