Can Advance Steel be used for Cool Pressed Steel Framework design?

I would say yes.

If the profiles don't exist in the system it is very easy to create user sections to use as normal.

From you wording, I assumed you mean cold rolled sections to create a light gauge steel framed structure or building,   In the uk typically applied to modular construction.

the answer is actual yes. Advance steel can be adapted to created this type of framework, depending upon the supplier depends upon the level and natures of the customisation.

You can with knowledge adjust the standard portal macros to have cold formed sections, also  you can adapt using a dynamo script to create a structure, using the sections created via user profiles or standard shape code references and database entries.

connections can be created manually, with some further automation via the advance steel custom connection tool.

you would need further customisation of the drawing style and process systems to create drawings and document outputs.
