Below are the spec's of my current workstation, used to work with ApexxS3 by Boxx from 2018 to 2022, tried something different. Overclocked at 5.5P, 4.1E.
UserBenchmarks: Game 171%, Desk 126%, Work 198%
CPU: Intel Core i9-12900KS - 128.8%
GPU: Nvidia RTX 3060-Ti - 133.1%
SSD: Samsung 980 Pro NVMe PCIe M.2 1TB - 421%
RAM: G Skill Intl F5-6600J3440G162x16GB - 206.3%
MBD: MSI PRO Z690-A WIFI (MS-7D25)
The weight of steel has never been an issue. Having many cuts and folded twisted plates slows the work, but it is manageable.
I update and plot the dwgs from the DM.
AS is such a good software, they should let it stay on the market forever.
Tekla and SDS/2 have advantages, but AS has ones too.
