Currently, asset creation is limited to individual model elements, which can be restrictive and inefficient. Introducing the ability to generate assets from categories or, more importantly, assemblies, would significantly enhance the workflow.
Assemblies are a standard practice among mechanical contractors, used to define prefabricated units that move through fabrication shops and are installed in the field. These assemblies often consist of a handful to dozens of elements. However, the current asset workflow requires tracking each element as a separate asset, rather than allowing a single, unified asset to represent the entire assembly.
Enabling asset creation from assemblies would streamline tracking, improve manageability, and better align with real-world construction practices. This enhancement would not only benefit our team but also provide value to countless other contractors who rely on assemblies for efficient project execution
