Bridge link removal

Bridge link removal

Mistakes will made when setting up Bridge between ACC Projects.

After being created Bridges can only be hidden i timelines and Bridge overview, not permanently removed.

But hidden bridges can not be filtered out neither generally nor specifically by project the Bridge comes from. They can only be hidden by filter "external" status and that hides all bridges, regardless of active/hidden status.

A Bridge should be possible to remove completely in the case it turned out to be unhelpful in retrospect. Or at the very least to be filtered put by Project or disabled/invisible status so users will not be bothered by irrelevant information.

Also external teams from bridges are automatically sorted above internal making it even more distracting being placed at the top in timelines. Order should be better prioritized or atleast customizable.

Has this been implemented? How do you completely delete a bridge?

I tested bridging with a full folder with 20+ files in it... my poor Design Collaboration tab. 😥

what happened?

Has this been implemented? Is there a timeline on implementation. This issue has been a main sticking point preventing our team from embracing the bridge workflow.

Any update to this feature request @Ramolla.Marco ?

Any update? It's very easy to end up with many "test" bridges, with no way to clean up the lists...

Upvote, this function is essential to project execution.

Its insane that bridges cant be deleted or even renamed. This should be within an administrators permission.

What is the solution for this to cleanup inadequate bridges?

I looked again today, and now I see a "Delete bridge" option (after selecting a Bridge link). It appears to delete the entire Bridge connection to an outside project.

But it doesnt delete the incoming and outgoing segments still.

We need the ability to delete individual Incoming and Outgoing shares, or at least to deactivate them. We we're at it, we also need to be able to rename those items. Every one shows as untitled, and there is no way to change that.

I agree with all that is said here, after spending 2 weeks going back and forth with support only to find out there is no way to clean up the ghosted lines that were never meant to be there. This is a shame and makes the use of Bridge messy. Need the ability to Delete/Hide them like we can do files in the Docs section.

Hope this comes soon, I see it has been accepted

1 year to implement an accepted very much needed update in a ACC platform that doesn't even require user installation, and counting...?

I've just deleted the share of one folder because our partners are sharing information in new folders all the time (not using the versioning, unfortunatly) and bridge doesn't hadle that in the way a human do it (like sending all revit models from all new nested folders to the same main folder in the destination project) - speacial rules like this could be very handy in this kind for cases.

That deleted share is still showing up as an automation in the Outgoing tab with none indication that it's been deleted/deactivaded. I get that you want to keep traceability but just create an archive link just like in the rest of the ACC platform for this things. It's simple and fundamental...

Thank you for the valuable feedback. A few comments

@thounsellPQC3G - We currently have no plans to delete shared Bridge content. Once a document or model is shared with another project, the receiving project becomes the owner of that copy. If needed, you can still delete the original model or document from your own project.

@Susana_Duarte_LMSI I completely understand your frustration, and I appreciate you sharing your feedback. When a status is marked as ‘Accepted’, it means we’ve reviewed the request and agree that it highlights an area that could benefit from improvement. However, it doesn’t guarantee immediate implementation. We consider accepted items as part of our broader planning process, which takes into account priorities, strategic direction, and other influencing factors.”

@Ramolla.Marco - What I was referring to is the actual share itself. Once we have set up an automated share for a folder, there does not appear to be any way to disable that automatic share. There also appears to be no way to rename that share. It makes it significantly more tedious to figure out which share is which when they are all named Untitled.

This still seems an area of major issue, Autodesk and @Ramolla.Marco , please keep working on it, this item is far from closed! Getting Bridges correctly set-up and maintained is bewildering at best.
