Allow adding a user(s) to MULTIPLE PROJECTS

Allow adding a user(s) to MULTIPLE PROJECTS

There is a major need to be able to add a new hire to many projects in ACC.  Instead of wasting my time opening each project and manually adding a new user to 20 projects, we need a tool that will automate this process!  Seems like it would be a pretty basic feature.

This feature was brought up in the BIM360 forum SIX (6) years ago and was marked as Under Review 2 weeks after submission, ZERO response/feedback from Autodesk since...

Agree 100%. Wish there was an easier way.

Totally agree, we see companies with a lot of changes in the staff, managing all this projects (sometimes up to 50 or more) for new users is very time consuming at the moment.

I've uploaded 500+ projects and at least 1/6 are active and i need to add new hires every few months. Having a feature to add 1+ emails to all project members list would be great.

Hi, there is a real need for this feature.

Thanks, Hagay.

YES!! This would be a real time saver.

There is a way through API connectors but not everyone has the resources to support. This one can be really important for on the fly management of groups and would be a really good addition.

We are using Naviate Cloud Manager for this and it saves a lot of time.

Naviate is nice however, we have 1700+ projects in BIM and it is very slow to cache those in the list.  This may be a limitation with the trial version?   Still not good that you must purchase a plugin for what was included functionality back in the Buzzsaw days....

I agree. Autodesk are acquiring software and move it into a new platform and then a lot of functions are lost, but often returns after some/many years.

Hopefully it will be some progress on this soon. Would also be nice på be able to see the access for a role/company/person in a project and in Account Admin to see all projects a member have access to.

@roger.festeBCQPP There already is a Power BI Template/ Dashboard available in the Insights module. As an Account Admin you can see exactly who is a member in which project, even who is using which license.

I know, but I would like to have the overview also in Account admin. BIM 360 have this when you click on a user. I guess it will be covered in the new insight builder when it's released.

@L0urensSmids , can you explain where to find the dashboard/info for 'who is a member in which project'?  I can't find this in my Account Admin portal and I'm wondering if it might be Premium Plan addon you might have that I do not.
And just to clarify, you are no longer talking about the acc.autodesk.com site, you're talking about the manage.autodesk.com site correct?

@adbryson go to Insight - Data connector - Power BI Templates - Administration Dashboards

This should have already been a feature!

100% top priority. A basic matrix is all that is needed, User vs project.

How hard can that be?

From a BIM360 side there is BIM360 Admin Tools which is a free 3rd party App that can do this. Unfortunately nothing yet that i am aware of for ACC

That is a great tool, we use it to alleviate some of the issues but unfortunately it will not allow you to add new companies to projects en masse in the Doc Management portion 😞
