when populating volume for staircase, because the volume data is not contained in the properties; Autodesk Takeoff is unable to map to volume data. How to resolve this?

Hi @yatinFSQ6S ,

We are aware of the limitations when trying to calculate outputs and properties are missing from the Revit model. Note, we can only access the properties that show up in the properties window. We are working to make more data available and hope that this will come in the future. In the meantime, you may be able to make a calculation based on other parameters that are available on the model. Have a look at the attached screenshot for an example.

I hope this helps!

thank you very much for your reply. it indeed helped!

now i can calculate accurately the volume for "steps" in the staircase.

however, still need to figure out a way to calculate volume for landing and waist slab which are part of the same staircase.

have attached a screenshot for reference.

I'll have to do a little bit of investigation to see if there is a solution for the landings.

Regarding Materials - this is a limitation we are aware of and will hopefully address in the future. There is another product team investigating and if they find a solution we may be able to adopt in for Takeoff as well. To be clear though, we don't have this on our immediate roadmap yet, but we know it's important.

I have just encountered this problem and throwing my support behind it. Is there any update on a solution?

It's weird that a value such as Volume cannot be calculated from the element's geometry, even if it is made clear through the UI that this is the case.
