Can't view 3D in ACC

Been going back and forth for a week or two now with customer support. Then they told me to reach out to here.

I can't view 3D in ACC. And the response was

"After further investigation, I was able to confirm with my team that in order to have the "View Object in 3D" option in the 2D view, the object(element) needs to be included in the published 3d views from the model."

How do I include the object in the model? I literally just drag and drop the model onto ACC.

In "publish settings" you need to select the views you want people to see in ACC. You need to include a 3D view for each phase you want to see. Make those 3D views to not have a section box since a section box would limit the extends of the3D model they can see.

I use a PDF export setting (called ACC in my case) to determine the sheets/views I want to include in ACC. As the design progresses, you can add more sheets you want to share.

We're not working on a cloud model. I upload a non-cloud copy onto ACC.

Does the publish setting do anything in that case?

Your model has to be a workshared file to publish and view in ACC. Uploading the file does not enable that.

Just curious, why do you even have ACC if you are not hosting your model on it?

Did you add the 3D view to the Publish Settings before you uploaded the file again then? Review this DOC.

No. Using ACC for your model does not mean sharing the live model to other parties.  You simply publish the model from Revit so that it is updated, then go to ACC site and create a shared link and send it to others.  They will download it as a copy of your model, not the live one.  Nobody outside of your team can access your live model even if you wanted them to.
