I can't upload more than 200 files to ACC Folders

I'm trying to set up a project on ACC. It's a brownfield project with 3D Scan (point cloud) data. Hence, it contains thousands of files of about 2TB in total.

I cannot make much progress setting up this project because ACC won't allow me upload more than 200 files per folder.

I have tried Desktop Connector and direct upload from ACC. As soon as the number of files per folder hits 200, it won't accept any more files for that folder. It will appear to be uploading, but when you open the folder afresh, you will notice it discarded all the files after the first 200.

Is this some kind limitation or license issue? I started with a trial account, but have upgraded to a BIM Collaborate Pro license.

Someone help suggest possible solutions to this.

Hello @Daniel_Udeze,

ACC supports up to 10,000 files per folder, so the 200-file limit you're hitting is not a system restriction. This issue may stem from sync errors, cache problems, or residual trial account settings.

 Try these steps:
- Clear Desktop Connector cache and restart the sync.
- Split uploads into smaller batches (e.g., 100–150 files) to avoid timeout or indexing issues.
- Check folder permissions and ensure your upgraded license is fully activated.
- If the issue persists, contact Autodesk Support to verify account provisioning and backend sync status.

Best Regards,
Jill Muncy

Hi @jill598muncy,

Thanks for the tips. I will try splitting the uploads into smaller chunks. I had already reached out to Autodesk Support.

The 200-files-per-folder limit is a known Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) restriction to optimize performance—not a license issue. To handle your 2TB point cloud data, try splitting files into multiple subfolders with fewer than 200 files each. Also, consider using ACC’s folder structure best practices or reach out to Autodesk support for advanced workflows. This approach keeps uploads smooth and organized! @Daniel_Udeze If this helps kindly let me know.

For the bulk upload tool the limit is 20.000 items (folders and files) per folder.

Thanks @robloxapk01,

Yes, I have figured it out. I uploaded the files in batches in shorter folder paths. Then moved them later within ACC. It takes more time, but that worked...
