Brett, thanks for the heads-up on the planned changes. Always appreciated. I look forward to the Live Review, something my team is wanting, and permission improvements for the future.

In regards to Calendar no longer being part of A360, our team uses the current A360 version. We will miss this tool come Nov.

We use Calendar for project milestones and team meetings.  We have really enjoyed having one project calendar for the whole team to access.  Being able to export out and share in our Microsoft Outlook was a great feature.  Working in a BIM environment having project tasks with due dates gave no excuse for someone to not know about it.  Coordination meetings for the whole team were essential to keep the team on task.  I was hoping the tool would be incorporated into the mobile apps.

I am assuming these features, calendar, tasks and other Project Management tools will be incorporated in future products?

Thanks,

Bruce

Hi Brett,

Thanks for the info.

I have a Revit model uploaded in a project and these are my questions:

1. There was a 'Model browser' in the old viewer which is now incorporated in the Views and Sheets on the left side. In the old Model browser used to be a filter option which I could use to filter objects within the model by their properties. Later on, this became reduced and we could only filter for the name of the objects in the model. Now I cannot even see any filter option. Is this feature the one that you were referring to in your Coming Soon section?

2. The old Model browser had its hierarchy closed as default. Now the new tree is open by default which results a lot of scrolling. Will it be closed as default by the official release?

3. We could only download history models in the old A360 Team, but could not open it in the viewer. When we uploaded a new model, the comments on the previous model became useless. Now I can see that we can select a previous model from a drop-down list, but it seems that we still cannot open it. Is this feature planned to be in the release?

Thanks,

Máté Csócsics

Hi Mate,

for the first 2 items, yes they're on the list to be fixed, so that is good news.

  • Just to confirm, on Item #3, what i believe you're saying is that from old A360, you weren't able to open up prior versions as well the comments from the prior versions would lose their leader lines, and appear as general comments not pointing to anything, when viewing the latest version, is that correct?
  • Currently in the new A360, you should be able to open prior versions, so please give that another try and let us know if that isn't the case.  Also the Leader lines are scheduled to come later as you saw above, so hopefully when they do, they'll stay connected to their comments on all versions.

Please let me know if i'm off here.

Thanks,

Hi Brett,

Thank you for the info.

I did a small test on history models. Please have a look at the attached images.

Thanks Mate,

The text in the pictures is pretty blurry when i look at them, however, it appears that you were able to open up the 2 versions of that file you sent, is that correct?

Please let us know if you still have a question.

Thanks,

Hi Brett,

01.png - I have uploaded a model and it had a V.1 version. I marked it with a red frame at the top left corner. We can see that the walls have white surface on this first model.

02.png - New model uploaded and we can see that its version is V.2 now. The walls have brick surface on the new model.

03.png - I wanted to switch back to the first model, so I selected V.1 from the drop down list and now it is written 'V.1 of 2'. However, the walls have brick surface which means that this is still the V.2 model.

I tried to reduce the size of the images and attached them again.

Thanks,

Máté

Ok thanks Mate, now i see what you're getting at.

This is likely a bug, but to be sure, can you please share those files with me (with download) ability so that i can send them to our dev team to replicate on our end as well? Use first.last@autodesk.com (using brett.wright for first.last)

Can you also test another different file to see if you're having the same issues there as well, with something other than textures?

Let me know how that goes.

Thanks,
