Thank you for trying out the new A360. Don't worry you still have full access to all of the content that you created with A360.  Here are some tips to help you find your stuff. If you have specific questions post a comment, better yet send us a message by clicking on the megaphone icon on the bottom right of the A360 screen.

Where is my A360 drive data ?

To enable A360 drive, follow these steps:

Navigate to Settings – Enable “Show A360 Drive” and click Save.

A360 Drive will appear as a folder at the top of the Project list page.

Where are Wiki pages located ?

In the old A360 UI Wiki appeared in the Left Nav as shown below

New A360 – Appears as a folder called ‘Pages’ under each project

Deactivating/Archiving a project

Deactivate has been renamed to Archive, it performs the exact same function, i.e. when you Archive a project that project becomes read-only and a user cannot create any more content in that project. If a user wants to restore an Archived project they can navigate to the Archived tab and choose the “Restore” option. This is the same as the Activate action in the old A360 UI.

Item Overview screen presents all the information about your design in one centralized location.

Version dropdown – allows you to switch to a different version & Promote a specific version to the tip

Design References – allows you to explore relationships between assemblies and parts, currently this is only enabled for Fusion designs, we are working to enable this for all other CAD design files.

Related Data – Displays the various viewables in your design (e.g. Renderings, CAM, Animations, Simulations for Fusion designs)

Clicking on View opens up an "immersive" view of the design which allows a user to interact with a 3D model, pan.zoom, explode, section etc.. In addition it shows you all the viewables inside your model in the left Navigation panel.

Where is the Admin page ? How do I switch between hubs ?

Where are all the people in my project ?

Finally, if you must switch back to the old UI to access a feature we have not yet implemented or just to compare this is how you can do it -

Hi,

Thanks a lot for the information. Is comment on a point still available in the new A360?

Thanks again for posting your question to the A360 forum and we are looking forward to hearing back from you on this.

Hi Bud,

Yes indeed. Thanks again Swathi!

At the moment we are considering to use A360 Team for sharing electrical schematics with another company. In my case the ability to comment a point would be a nice feature because if there is a mistake in a drawing, you can point where the mistake took place. 🙂 Or to ask questions about a certain point in a drawing.

Thanks!

Greetings, Maarten

Hi Maarten,

Swathi is AWESOME Smiley Happy

Here are just a few of the itmes we call out in the FAQ for the future.   Markup may be something you are very intersted in as well.

  • In Progress “longer term deliverable”:
    • Branching & Merging
    • Improved Office Files Viewer
    • Markup & Measure
    • Granular Permission
    • Upload Content from other cloud storages
    • Active Directory Integration
    • 2 Factor Authorization
    • Point & Object Comments (Line Leaders)
    • Discussion
    • Deep Search (Search within design data)

Also if you have not had a chance yet, be sure to check out our A360 Mobile, we already have a very simple Markup enabled in it.  Basically it takes a screen grab of what you are viewing and allows you to add some markups to that file.  Then  upload it back to the project.  So if the guys are in the field, or out of the office, they could be on there tablet, do a quick markup and share it back to the project.  Right now we support iOS and Android for A360 Mobile.

iOS App Store:

Google Play:

Thanks again for the updates and enjoy A360, it's an AWESOME TOOL!

Can you no Longer "Copy" from A360 Drive into the New A360? I use 360 Drive with Inventor.....what should the new work flow be in terms of data managment? I really liked having my design data sync with 360 Drive and then transfering to A360 when ready.

Hi Christopher.

The new A360 is work in progress. For now, you can go directly to A360 Drive, right click on the file or folder, and select "Copy to A360" I just did this and it works fine with the new A360. That should get you by until we have it working better from the New A360 UI side.

Hope this helps and thanks for posting your question to the A360 Forum.

Question,

Its a realy nice, tjat after finishing my drawing, i can move files from the Drive to the Team.

But where is the function to move stuf/drawing made by somebody else to the drive??

Next, its realy nice that in fusion you can open en drawings change them, etc.. But where is this function at inventor? It should be nice if this works the same as in fusion 360.

Thanks!
