Thanks Chad,

Is this something you can share with me with a public share? If so, can you eMAIL me the link with download enabled. Then I can create a defect for this and add your file to it.

Thanks

I'm also getting incorrect measurements on a couple quick test drawings I've uploaded. I'm using inventor 2015 and trying to measure some IDW drawings I've created.

It seems that it's measuring the distance between the lines as it would be printed out on a piece of paper and not to what the projected view's scale was.

Hi Talon,

Thanks for posting your question to the forum. Can you tell us how long ago you uploaded these drawings to the forum? Also we are working with the viewing team right now on an issue with some files not working properly, so this could be related. Can you create a public share with download enabled and send me the link. You can send it to me directly at my eMAIL address. Send it to first.last@autodesk.com, just swap out first.last with my first and last name.

Thanks again for sending in your feedback, and looking forward to checking out your files.

BUG REPORT:  The measure tool incorrectly reports the distance by having the decimal point in the wrong place.  I measured a metric drawing and the distance reported was in millimeters when it should have been in meters.  Correct distance = 22.814m  Distance reported = 0.023m or 22.814mm when units set to 'mm'.

My AutoCAD 2004/2015 verified the correct distance in the drawing.

Hello my name is Chase

I am having trouble getting accurate measurements on the AUTODESK A360 MOBILE App. I am using an IPAD 9.3.3 version, I have a auto-cad DWG file downloaded to it and when viewing the drawing i measure the distance between a wall and a pipe and it gives me different measurements every time from .8 in to 5 ft. I checked the same distance using a computer in the file and got 3ft 6in several times. Really need to get this figured out for my guys! thank you!

Hi Chase,

Can you tell us the following please so that we can further diagnose?

1. are you seeing accurate measurements when you use the web version of A360 with this specific file?

2. have you tried a few other files to see if the behavior is consistent where the mobile dimensions are off, but all is ok in web version?

Please let me know and we'll go from there.

Thanks,

1.      Yes the Web version shows correct on my measurement for 1078mm however the IPAD app is showing 27382mm. I even tried using the ratio    from those two measurement against various other measurement in that same file and could not get accurate answers.

2.       I did also try other files and keep getting different numbers.

Hi Chase,

Can you possibly share a few of these files with us via public link so that we can test as well? (downloadable)

Email them directly to first.last@autodesk.com (brett.wright)

That would be best so that we can see if we can replicate the issue from our end as well.

Let me know,

Thanks,
Brett Wright
