Change display name

In my profile section I cannot change my display name!!!

Any solution?

Hi,

Thanks for posting your question. In TechPreview the display name is a combination of your given first name and last name. You wont be able to edit your display name, but changing your first and last names will change your display name. May I know if you are looking to show a display name that is different from your first and last names?

Thanks for your reply. If you want to show JahedBros as your display name, I would suggest you to give the same in first name(Jahed) and last name(Bros) respectively. Hope this helps!

Thanks for posting your question to the forum. Your name comes from your Autodesk profile. You can make changes to your profile at the Autodesk accounts page.

Have to change it as well, but the first name/last name solution isnt working. It seems to be set automatically as my email address, and I dont really want to have that displayed on a public web page..

If you would like to have a different name appear on your profile page, here is what you do.

1) Click on Account Settings at the top of the Community Home Page

2) Click on Edit Profile. You can edit everything from how your name appears to your biography and much more.

Please keep in mind that your Forum screen name, which is seen on the posts you make, has not changed. The only place your name changes is on your actual profile page.

For someone to actually see your profile page, he or she will need to click onto your name.

forum messages prior change seems will not have display name changed...

edit: username change from Profile -> Security Settings continue to me to not affects forum messages display name (even untick "show" that should bring "Unnamed"!!)...unless take time to update changes

edit: maybe it's me, but I don't quite understand why it is made so difficult to not show your real name in a public forum? 🙂
