Hi all,
I am pretty new to 3ds max and vray and have a question where I cant seem to find a good answer:
I am using 3ds max and vray with a bitmap as an environment map. This map has one bright spot (in this case sunlight) but there seem to be minimal shadows from that sun. For my case I don't want to use any other lights in the scene, just would like to know if there is a setting so that the sun in the env. map is used as the main light source.
For comparison i have the same scene setup in blender cycles and there you can see how i expect it to look like.
Here is an example scene. First one is 3ds max second is blender.
