Transparant window with reflection

Hey everybody

I'm working on a model, and I'd like to have some blueish transparant windows with reflection. I searched on the internet but I can't find anything; one tutorial shows how to make transparant windows (but without the reflection) the other one shows how to use VRay to make a reflective window (but it isn't transparant). So I'd really like to know how to do it.

Thanx in advance

Ole

Hi,

Try this one I just made with Mental Ray. I know it's not really helping you learn to do it yourself, but you can have a look how it's made with regard to tweaking material parameters.

You may want to improve the lighting in scene too, that is really what makes glass look realistic. Try lighting it with a .HDR bitmap as the background map. You can find some free ones here: http://hdrmaps.com/freebies

Just use one as a background bitmap in the environment and effects dialogue box, bring this up by pressing 8 on your keyboard.
