Toggle UI missing form rendered frame window

while working in Arnold for 3Ds max 2018, I switched from production render to active shade and all the options such as the render button, region render, etc were lost in the production rendered frame windows as well as the button to enable them.

I have created new configuration files, change the ui to other such as designVIZ in the custom iu and default switcher, update drivers for the video card, and change the driver max is using reverting from nitrous to legacy  and I have not been able to correct this.

I´m running 3Ds Max 2018 update 3 on windows 10.

Any help would be appreciated.

try to revert it to startup layout  or delete your 3ds max.ini file

Already done that to no effect evrey thing reseted but not the toolbar in the rendered frame window.

This is still a mystery as what caused it or how to fix it, I would be tempted to do a full clean reinstall but it takes time, and i need work done, so I will keep looking.

anyhow, reinstalling will be your last option then.

Nuke the ENU folder, it is the cause for many UI glitches.

Here is the location of mine:

C:\Users\Mads Drøschler\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\2019 - 64bit\ENU

But step one level up and delete the Entire ENU folder.

Remember to backup any user items in it first.

Thank´s for your inpunt on this, I´ve just tried your solution, but still no luck, my solution was to install the VFB plug in that gives a lot of options and that´s the way i´m working now.

This is a very odd case.
