Physical Camera Perspective Control not working

Hello,

I have a Physical Camera in my scene. When I am checking the "Auto Vertical Tilt Correction" in Perspective Control tab of that Camera it is showing perfect tilt in the viewport but when it's rendering the tilt is not showing neither in Active Shade nor in Production Render option.

3DS Max 2020 (updated till today)

Arnold Version 3.2.0

Help needed.

It's not implemented yet.

Alternativly you can use a float ramp on a plane you position in front of the camera so it covers the whole frame, and then control the IOR with the ramp float "v" this way you can tilt anything in any direction you want. Just remember to make the refractive plane completly disconnected from scene rays so the only thing the plane does is adding a single.

I made some examples I posted around some time ago, someone else asked for this, arnold facebook group I think, and somewhere else, maybe here.

Either way, you have to manual it out for now.

Ohh Nice. I did not know about this trick. Thanks madsd.

It will definitely solve this type problems but is there will be any update where we can use the camera's inbuilt tilt option ?

Check idas page, and vote on it.

Also make a post about it on arnold answers to drum up attention.

- Make a new idea where you describe the thing you want.

- Post the ideas thread here so we can vote.

- Ramp up votes by spreading the message on social media and among other 3d artists.

- Add a thread on Arnold Answers, and link your idea there and ask people to vote.

- Keep regular activity regarding the request so it pops up fairly regulary on places where developers and other users sees it.

Hello Sir,

I'm not able to understand how to setup the plane and control it with ramp float.

I need it very much to execute in current project.

Can you please give me a detail on how to do this ?

It will be very helpful if you can share a screencast as you did before to show me how to use GPU denoising in Arnold.

Thanks,

Hello sir,

Many many thanks for the Screencast, it really help me to understand the workflow you told about.

I have a question, may be silly but I need to understand 🙂

Can we make the plane non-renderable and still control the tilt effect ?

Please help me to understand this.

Another question apart from this topic I have which is,

If I'm using a HDR into environment and using quad arnold light(s) as portal at window, will the sample value of portal light(s) affect scene ?

Please help me with this too.

Thanks

Disable any potential polution by disabling rays on an arnold properties modifier.
You dont want lights to trace against this plane and so forth, so just disconnect everything except the 1 and very cheap single refractive ray.

Thank you very much sir for the help.

But I'm facing a problem. I'm trying to tilt my cam using your tips but there is no changes happening here. Am i doing something wrong ? I can't understand, I even try to use custom ramp but still nothing.

Sir, can you help me solve this problem ?

Thanks,

rewatch the video. I build everything from an empty scene, step by step, I dont cut and miss out anything, you see everything required to lift the task.
