Odd quicksilver render

Does anyone else have inconsistent results with the quick silver renderer? The viewport looks good:

screen.jpg

But the render...:

red and yellow.jpg

I don't really undrstand why the background is yellow and the edge of the shadow is red.

I'm running 3ds 2014 with a quadro card.

Would someone be kind enough to render the scene to see if they get the same results (see attached).

Cheers

No Takers?

Does anyone think it is odd though that it renders like this?

Hi. I took a look at your scene, and I get the same result - red-streaked shadow and yellow background. It's just my guess, but it seems that Color Ink with QuickSilver doesn't like Photometric lights. Color Ink is a Non-Photorealistic rendering method, and you're using Photometric lights based on realworld lighting with Exposure Control. I deleted your light, turned off Exposure Control and used a Standard light, and the red shadow problem went away. However, the yellow background remained based on your white Envrionment Background color setting. I recommend using an actual geometry for your Environment Background. Perhaps others may have other insights into this.

Cheers for your reply, I hadent thought of that. It is a shame that it doesn't work, as it does in the viewport.

Hi. An alternative to the QuickSilver renderer, is Spacefrog's "Power Preview" script. You can find it on scriptspot. Power Preview "render" the viewport in any resolution without Quicksilvers limitations, in only a few sec. I use it quite often. Try it 🙂

Hope it helps
