Ink & Paint Material has many limitations.

Hello. I am on a "mission" to create a Cel Shader in 3ds Max. The Ink & Paint material is helping me achieve just that. However, I have questions on solving the limitations posed by this type of material. I am interested to see your solutions.

Decreasing Amount Of "Lighted"

So here is my render. The Cel Shading looks great!

However, I want to tweak this to my liking more. I wanted the Lighted part (the brightest) to cover less of the model. How would I do this? So instead of the gradient looking like this,

I want it to be this.

Light Parameters

The Ink & Paint Material is able to respond to a light's position and... that's it. It doesn't respond to the color, intensity, or any shadows cast upon it. Is there any way to enable something like this?

Well thank you for taking time to read this. I hope someone can find a solution and I would really like to see your thoughts.
