PLEASE HELP !!!!!!! it's really important for me to deliver this project on time. PLEase have a look at my renders. I was assigned a project of designing an interior of a teanager'ss room which is somewhat like 13-15 yrs old. Is it really important to have colourful room for a teenager? like he's isn't 5 yr old. PLus i have used HQ materials including PBR. I was looking for something realistic lighting so by considering the position of sun, this is what i got. With bit work in post production i created sun rays too. My second question is that is my scene too dark?. Ive 8 ies lights, one mesh light for false ceiling and vray sun. and final question is what are the missing elements in my scene or is it perfect enough to be delivered asap. 😞 😞 😞

Except for possibly the scooter leaning against the wall nothing in this room says “teenager” to me. You have an infant’s high chair by the desk while the table and chess set looks like it is for a child under 10.  I think a sports or musician poster with a curled up edge on the wall would help.  Make the desk lamp taller and turn it on! Place some teenage items on the desk as well as the bed.  Add a window sill to the window and place something on it. Make the room look lived in!  You can lighten up the area under the upper bed with a sconce.   The recessed lights along the far wall serve no practical reasons for the teehager as they do not help reading in bed or provide light for the desk.  What does the room look like at night?

I don't have enough time. :(. hey one more thing that sun rays that i created in ps, is it looking real? or is it one of the many flaws and looking fake ?

Don't panic! You do not need to redo everything. Fix the desk lamp. Make sure the light object is not inside another object keeping it from casting light. Try addressing a few of my suggestions. E.g., add a NURBS surface to a wall and curl up one edge to give it some realism and then place a teenage type picture on it. Get a differs chair.

Good luck!

thanks man. i really appreciate that you replied . i guess i have to wait for another 5-6 hrs for each image to get rendered as evry single render was of  3000x2000 with high vray settigns [ with 4gb ram, i5 6th gen and 1 tb hard disk , it's painful  😞 ]. i just hope everything comes out as u said it'll after aplying changes.

Thanks again.

You are welcome. Post at least one of the final renders when done. I'd like to see the changes you made.

I am not an interior designer but I been working with many of them for a long time, and not to be insulting but this room design is not good, there no much teen spirit or child feel, it really looks like an old person put it together, it overall looks dark and darker 'old' colors.  Cherry good is not a young person first option of wood.

In this day and age, the internet is your best friend when you are not sure of what to do or what the trends are.

If you google teen bedrooms or child bedroom you'll get a very wide gamma of designs, most of them tend to be bright rooms, with bright colors, gender-oriented or gender neutral.  Cove lighting may get expeisive to build too, and mostly if it has those cloud shaped cut out, that's very hard to do, then expensive for the client to build.

If you are not an interior designer, but where asked to do this task for some reason, before you do any modeling you should ask the client to show you some inspiration images, what ideas they have, what the children or Teen like. Then put toguether a rough design, not even materials, and basic colors and do several iterations before producing a 'final image' this will save you time and money.

This comment may come late for this project, but please  take it in consideration for your nex project.

best luck.

first things first, i feel so good to have experts like u helping us to get  around a problem. Now see, i know i destroyed the image of actual teen room by using dark colours , may be cuz i like that but  as a professional i shouldn't have done it. Yeah when it comes down to kids room people expect more  colours which is something really missing here. But that was my question that is it really, like really neccessary to have colourful walls or furniture for 13-15 year old or is it good enough to set your own zone by stepping outta that biased mind zone where people have the image of colourful room? secong and stupid question is , irrespective of how bad i designed it, how about my rendering quality is it good or poor?  and finally when u said dark room , i really wanted to show the actual light situation considering the position of sun in my images. I didn't want to add new to light to fake the brightness to lift up the mood but correct me if i m wrong  i was trying to acheive realism and idk man, you tell me how i did it ??? 😞
