Altered render result from same Material/Texture!?

Can anyone please tell me why i get this result?...  Im using Max 2016 & Vray 3.60... the landing covers have been manually positioned into place aligned with the rest of the hull as close as possible.. One cover has been mirrored.. Surely this would not impact the specular to this degree!?.. so Im beginning to think its a bug maybe??..

 

Any suggestions?

Had to say from just the screenshot. My current guess it that it has to do with the polygon normals on the mirrored cover. Maybe you just need to flip them.
