Last week I began experiencing a slow startup in 3ds Max 2019. The startup time now is around 2-3 minutes. Once started modeling, switching between modes, etc all seem to function normally except when I hit the "Render Setup Button(teapot with gears icon) this can take up to 5 minutes before the Render Setup menu appears. Also when rendering with Arnold it crashes the program or simply doesn't work. An interesting thing happens when I switch my renderer from Arnold to Art and then restart Max, I still have a slow startup, but once started there is no delay when pushing the Render Setup button. I have uninstalled and reinstalled 2018 and 2019 on two different machines, but the same thing happens. 3ds Max and Arnold are both up to date. Another odd thing is 3ds Max 2017 is working fine. Dell XPS 8930, Windows 10.
