The setup/installer of 3ds max (2019 and onwards) seems to bundle in together a variety of versions of Microsoft Visual C++ redistributable packages. One of this packages, "Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable" has reached end of life on july 2020, and appears as no longer supported on Official Microsoft VC Redist page: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-US/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170
This is triggering some enterprise security issues on servers and personal computers flagging this software as vulnerable and to be removed as it is no longer supported as has reached end of life from official vendor (Microsoft).
The question I would like to ask here is: Can "Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable" be safely removed without impacting 3ds max usage in any way? If not, is there a plan or ETA for patches to be released for 3ds max to deprecate these packages and no longer include them?
Thanks
