Open Max2009 file in Max2008

Hi there,

I have a scene file done in Max 2009 which geometries I’d like to open in Max 2008.
That scene doesn’t use any R2009 features as it only has Poly, Splines and Standard Primitives. I don’t care about cameras or lights, only objects are needed.

Many monthes ago (nearly years!) I've read about a script that could handle that kind of feature but I can't find it back.

Thanks a lot for any tip.

I've had to do the same all week.. this works good in most cases: http://www.scriptspot.com/bobo/darkmoon/bff/

I had to go through the materials and remove the ColorCorrection map types.

The only problem converting is some objects were oddly scaled? Resetting Xform and collapsing to edit meshes on those objects generally helped. otherwise the RealWorldMap size didn't translate on some map types (Most notably the Tiles Map).

but that wasn't difficult to work around. and an hour of checking/converting beat installing 09 on the farm to deal with a subcontracted out scene heh.
