Importing Step/stp files with all objects using 3ds Maxscript

Hi,

I am new to 3dsMax and trying to import all the Step files using Maxscript.

I have learnt some basic script but now I am having problem that how to fetch all the children node of object for importing without asking to rename its original name.

Please help me to find the solution for this issue.

I have just a small remark: if you need professional step file import, use nPower Power Translator.

Hi, Thank you so much for your suggestion. I have checked with the tool that you have suggested me but the problem is as I am doing an internal project, my work is to translate step to fbx. If I succeed with this translation, we have a plan to purchase 3ds max. I have already started with scripting and its importing properly but the problem is with naming objects. I dont know how to retrieve all the objects node and to import as such without renaming.
