Unsure how to do this floating geo...

Hi.

 

I have a bit of an issue and I'm not sure how best to approach it. I'm in the process of sorting out my smaller floating geometry for a loot bin in Max that I'm baking in Substance. However, I'm unsure how best to go about this. What I have done, is I've taken the floating geo I've made (high), cloned them, added them to a new group, resized them, and placed them where I want based on reference images. There's quite a few of them placed around.

Next, I need to make low-poly versions, but I'm unsure how I should go about this. The easiest thing would be to clone the high so they're overlapping nicely, reduce the geo, and then unwrap them. But, going through them and unwrapping them individually is going to take ages. Even if I copy the UVW to each one. Or would there be a quicker way...? I guess going to the originals I have to the side and unwrapping them, cloning them, and moving them into position would be better, but then I've got to make sure each one aligns with the high versions. Or maybe there's a somewhat better and quicker way...?

 

Also, I don't know if it's wise, but I've attached each high model to a single one so it's one object. It's certainly increased my file size though, but there are too many to name to xxx_high and xxx_low etc
