slow scene when moving objects

hello, i have a desktop with this configuration i7 4720 , 16GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce GTX 960M, 4Go. but when i create a heavy scene it becomes very slow.

i can't move object, it takes too long. it takes few minutes to move one object.

i need to know if the problem comes from the RAM or the processor.

and is there any suggection for configuration that allows me to work whith out any lag.

processor?

Ram? 32 or 16 GB

grapgic card.

motherboard?

if possible not to exceed 1500 $ (if it isn't pssible what is the best reasonable configuration )

i heard about Dual Intel Xeon E5-2680 v2 @2.8GHz (10 core)
32 GB RAM
nVidia Quadro K5000

i am new in 3ds max but i have a big projects to do .

 thanks.

the amount of things in your scene will cause the computer to slow down even on the fastest computer, 3ds max is very memory intensive so if you have lights special effects models animation they all use up memory. all you would need to do is increase your ram. you don't say what type of motherboard you have

if you have a 3 memory slot motherboard then i would change to a four memory slot motherboard,

make sure you buy another motherboard with four ram slots so the other components are the same and increase the ram to 32GB
