Inflated Mesh - breaks the sctructure

Hi,

Problem: Downloaded model of Bed.

Austin (pcon-catalog.com)

Their model is not accurate to the actual pictures of the bed. Frame of the bed is inflated a little bit.

What i wanted to do, is to select the frame, apply "Cloth" and inflate it just a bit. But this process breaks the structure of the frame.

Question: Any idea how to make it more accurate and do not break the structure?

Thank all of you

Jakub

Are you talking about inflating it like pumping air into it? Or, can you just scale it up a bit? If you can get by with just scaling it or manually painting verts to pull them out, you might get by just fine.

If inflating cloth, maybe check that the mesh it maifold, welded and has no errors. Inflating doesn't work well if there are holes in the mesh. Often purchased models are not perfectly modeled to be able to handle all the modifiers you can throw at it. I have to repair purchased meshes all the time so that they will behave the way I need them to. Use 'STL Check' until you get zero errors and I imagine it will inflate.
