how to make multiple edges stiff and handle them like on edge

Hi,

i wonder how i can select multiple edges and perform some modifications on them like moving one endpoint of them and the multiple edges react like i would do this with one single edge.

I hope you understand what i mean.

Thanks in advance
Matt

Just select all edges you need for the particular operation, lock the selection and do the transform you are after.

this wont work because i want to do some subdivision alterings. As soon as i lock the selected edges i cannot select a singe vertex to move this.
Imagine a roof of a simple house consisting of multiple polggons and i want to alter the hight of the tip of the roof and want the 2 sides of the roof change like there would consist of a single face each.

Ciao
Matt

I see you want to eat the cake and to have it. 🙂
You need to find a way around for any particular case Matt.
(See attachments) That’s a solution of the issue you described above; Using FED modifier. You have to find your own solution – max is great when workarounds are needed.
