how do i select all of the edges between both of these edges so i wont need ot click each on of them?

you need to manually select it, use crossing selection for multiple selection.

so there is no way to do this? i need to select the entire rind and then deselect the edges i dont want?
before selecting those edges with window crossing selection, right click first on the object and select Ignore Backfacing so you can select only those that are in the front .

You can do this with 'Step loop' with any subobject, just not with Edge-Rings. Strange indeed.
Hey, I don't if this is what you mean, but I select my first edge, then holding CRTL double click the last edge. Max then selects all the ones in between. It works for loops or ring sections.
If that's what you meant 🙂
You can do this by holding ctrl-shift and selecting an edge you want and hovering over the edges you wish to select and clicking on another edge to confirm.
