Generate Topology tool problem

I'm finding that two of the buttons in the Generate Topology tool won't work (see attached). Any ideas? I have this issue with both 2020 and 2016. I was really hoping for an easy way to turn a mesh into hexagons...

Hi Geoff,

 

Both appear to be working fine here in 2020.2. Note that both, and some others, require one edge to be selected and be within a quad topology - check documentation here:
