I am a new 3ds Max user.
I come from Modo and other 3D Software.
How can I perfectly extrude the corner of a rectangle? (This is only an example, but I think that the tecnique to do that can be applied to other meshes). In Modo I can use the bevel tool to achieve that.
Do you have a solution to do it with a tool? I hate moving vertices or edges by freehand.
Thank you for your help.
hi please show me what final result you want to get i not think we can extrude edge in 3ds max direct way...please show me result you want to get....thanks
select that up face and use inset option to do that if you not understand share file here i do that for you ....thanks
But I do not want reverse the process. Maybe one day I will need to extrude the face and have that shape. In my work this features is very important.

I am sorry but I don't think that you ubderstand what I have to do. It doesn't work. I need to extrude the corner ina precise way.
we can extrude the face in any side using spline as guide also you know that ?
Hi;
You can achieve this by Extrude command, with Local Normal Option (image 01):
But you will see that your object has been deformed, so you will need to view align those faces seperately with the tools under Edit poly > Edit Geometry section (image 02)
These sub selection align tools work on local coordinates, so dont worry if your object is rotated after it's created.
Regards;
