I tried exporting files from 3Ds Max into Maya, but whenever I open Maya and try to import files, it does not display anything in the scene, however if I export primitive object into Maya, it displays in the scene. I tried using Game Exporter, whenever I try to send files to Maya, it either shows nothing or "Connecting to Maya" (Maya does not respond).
I am just a beginner, so I might make some mistake, but I want to know where exactly I messed up.

FBX is a bit of a picky format - below is a link to some info on non orthogonal matrix errors:

Sometimes this is simply fixed by resetting the x-form - especially if you have done any non-uniform re-scaling, etc.

I believe the FBX import will work fine once you fix the non orthogonal issue but in the mean time you might try exporting from Max as .obj and see if that works better.

Okay, I will try this also, but with another model when i tried exporting it I did not have any non orthogonal matrix errors, Maya could not still open FBX or OBJ files imported from 3ds Max, but I could open files from Mixamo... I also downloaded bonus tool, it didnt help.
