A modeling noob problem: How do I model this train track?

Hi, I am very new to 3ds max and modeling as a whole.

I would like to learn how one would approach in modeling this train track. I hope you guys would teach me.

Use compound object/loft to create the long continuous objects like the rail (red) . Create one model of the blue block, mirror it and then use array instance.  Look up these functions in Autodesk's knowledge base.

I would definitely start mapping it all out with splines, just have a bunch of them lined up to how I need them to be, especially with something as busy as this, you'll want to keep most objects in your scene as procedural as possible so you can make adjustments as  you work
