3dsMax 2019 control / ctrl remove not working. Cant even set a hot key for it

Can't remove an edge cleanly (taking vets w/ it). I can only delete the edge then have to manually remove the vert's.

Are you selecting Edges and using CTRL+Backspace hotkeys to remove the Edges and Vertices?

I am currently able to remove Edges cleanly in 3ds Max 2019 and 2020 using these commands. -- If for some reason this is no longer working as expected for you, could you try resetting the 3ds Max preferences to see if this helps?
