Remove imported AutoCad file from 3Dmax

Hello everyone,

when i start modeling i import the Autocad floor plan and draw over it. now i'm done with the autocad floor plan i want to remove it from so the grid becomes more clear. is there a way to remove the imported cad all at once instead of hiding or deleting it's layers?

Thanks!

Hello @Anonymous ;

As an Autocad file import is seen as a layer import for 3ds Max, your only option is to delete it manually.

But I can suggest you a workflow which will make this process easier:

-Move your Autocad Layers to a different layer (for eg: Plan_for_max) that you are going to import.

-When you go to File > Import > Import and choose your dwg file, go to Layers section of the import dialogue and select this layer only

-Do your stuff in max

-Go to 3ds Max layer editor and select Plan_for_max layer and delete it

Kind regards;
