Inverted objects rotations with Object Paint tool

Hi

I come here today to hopefully find an answer to my "issue". I did some researches on the web since yesterday, but I didn't found something about this.

Here is my situation:

I work on a set of few pine trees with branch textures. I started making the basic shape of each tree, then modeling trunks, stumps then each variants of branches. Now my goal is to adding these branches on the trunks, but this is where I start to struggle.

My issue:

When I paint objects on a surface with the Object Paint tool, depending on the side, there are inverted, which I don't understand because I choosed to align them on normals, without random rotations. I tried different parameters, without success.

To investigate more and do some tests easier, I created a simple box with flat sides and started painting on it. I give you some pictures that will help you to see my trouble:

What I have, incorrect angleWhat I have, incorrect angle   What I try to haveWhat I try to have

What I have is the left and what I would like to have is the right. Note the branches of the left side that are inverted.

By the way, I still learn this type of modeling, so if there is better workflow or other way to do this type of model, I'm listening every suggestion!

I also have questions about creating foliage branch textures from scratch, but I'll make its own topic later to keep this one on a single subject.

Thank you for your time!
