Hello,
First time seeking help in forums so apologies in advance if I'd wrote something unclear in the first place.
Firstly I'm kinda new with cloth modifier. I'm trying to make a simulation with cloth modifier "on whole interior", these are the examples I'm trying to achieve:
As far as I understand, Firstly i need to make a box with a lot of segments into the scene, drop it onto the furniture with cloth modifier, then to a simulutation with wind force (or something simmilar) inside the simulated object.
My workflow so far: I've tested dropping a huge plane as a cloth on 15mx15m area with some furniture and I already came across a bottleneck - the time. The estimated time in dialog box to finish the simmulation was ~4hrs. I've just left it overnight. I'm attaching a screenshot of what I've simmulated so far ("Simmulation#1", "Simmulation#2" is screenshot what's below the dropped plane, objects are Editable Poly modeled in 3ds max) .
Scene units are set to millimeters.
The plane characteristics are:
- size is 15mx15m
- divided into 1000x1000 segments (I've tried to simmulate with less segments but going below 1000 the plane just goes through every objects edges.)
- In cloth modifier i've just chose "Silk" presset
I would like to ask some of more experienced modelers of Your suggestions about the workflow or any kind of advices how to could I achieve this. (For the simmulation time I thought that scaling down the objects of interior 10x size and droping the same scaled plane would help with simulation time but quickly realised that the real deal is the ammount of segments). Maybe there's a more simplified workflow for this or maybe this is just too complex to achieve?
