I'll second this request. Please add the ability for the Slate Material Editor to view .tx bitmaps. V-Ray's HDRI loader can also use them, and a teeny preview is available in the material dummy object (sphere, cube, etc) but the Parameter/ View Image button will not show a .tx file.
