I'd like to see a feature which allows you to rotate an object in 2D such that the rotation can be constrained by snapping arbitrarily and not just by a set angle amount. For example, imagine a 2D shape (or 3d object) who's edges do not align with any of the axes and you want to rotate it so that one of the edges aligns with say the X axis. Or, you want to rotate it so that one of the edges "points" to a particular point or vert of another object. The normal rotate tool only lets you snap by set angle amounts and not arbitrarily.
As an example of what I mean, I (again) refer to how Rhino does this very thing. (see screencast)
My apologies for constantly asking for Rhino features to be included in Max, but they're just so good, that I know Max would be the much better product for their inclusion.
@Swordslayer I'm sure you have the skills to pull this off in a script, and that would be great in the short term, but a native Max feature would be the ideal.
