Did you mean:

Release a 3D Max version like Maya lt

Release a 3D Max version like Maya lt

Keep it the same cost as Maya lt.

But make options so that users can add in what they need to work on so it suits their workflows.

Well you could always do a  questionnaire to find out most common max workflow when using max when it comes game development.

See this Idea: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/3ds-max-ideas/3ds-max-lt/idi-p/7566178  especially the more recent comments.

FYI, I got to that by just plugging "MAX LT" into the search box...

"Archived", along with the Autodesk responses (only months old, at that), indicates they aren't going to pursue this.  Putting up another Idea isn't going to help much.

How many votes do you need till they actually go ahead with some the idea?

@Anonymous - it's not about total number of votes, it's about how practical something is to implement, how many people would actually make use of it, how much work it would take to implement it, and how much it would take to enforce it (lets face it - if it's a feature-limited set of the full-deal there'll be people trying to hack their way into using the full product).  It's not a simple check about how many would purchase vs. development cost, either; the accounting practices used to check such things are up there with the "dark arts" of mastering all the fiddly settings for rendering.

Haha shows they don't care and that Autodesk is a greedy company.
