Did you mean:

One button for accessing the material of the selected object

One button for accessing the material of the selected object

When working with a model, I want to click just one button to see (edit) the material with which I work. Now i have to press M, then select a cell, then take the pipette, then click on it on the object (I can also miss).

It takes a lot of time, it's better if i can immediately edit the material of the object that is selected.

there is already a command for that:

    "edit selected object's material"

you can go to customize and create a toolbar button, add it to a quad, or assign a shortcut to it. although it'd be better to have it already in the default right click quad by default

Does that meet your needs or is there something else you are interested in seeing on this?

I work mostly with the standart material editor, not with the slite. Slate material editor takes up a lot of space on the screen.

To quickly change the color, or the basic parameters of the material, the standard material editor is faster and takes up less screen space.

Is it possible to add the same button to open a standart material editor?

it might be better to open the editor's material depending on whether the button is selected (standard or slate)

this should be by default on quad menu!
