It would be great to refresh the 3ds max interface to be at least as modern as in May. To this day, in the 2020 version, you can see the context menu and other selection lists or leaders that look like from Windows 98. Maya with 3ds max looks like a new generation program. Scrolling lists, selection lists, panels, and even buttons and texts in Maya look much better, more modern, more pleasing to the eyes, the whole interface looks more coherent and so it is. The Maya interface has also been outdated recently but the employees of a few guys would do it to order and the effect is great. Maybe your team (3ds max team) will hire / borrow the same people from Maya interface for 2-3 weekends to do something similar in 3ds max? : D I noticed that in many interviews with people who started with 3ds max and left it was one of the main reasons outdated interface. Below is an example of one of such people.
He talks about 3ds max from 4:20 for several seconds and goes on ..

All significant programs in the 3D world have their own native interfaces not based on the outdated Windows GUI. From Blender through Lightwave, XSI;), CATIA, Z-Brush, Speedtree, Marvelous Designer, to Houdini have their original user interface. It's 2020 in a moment cool as if 3ds max had its native, great-looking coherent interface. The quality of the interface has an impact on the quality of work, the pleasure of interacting with the program, and many people spend 1/3 and sometimes half a day in 3ds max every day. So it's nice if they felt nice in it 🙂
It would be great if the logo icon or image on the start screen changed from version to version as it once was, when every version when running 3ds max it was possible to see different graphics. This gives a visual distinction between versions when you have several versions of 3ds max. This current startup image looks like it comes from a sterile dental office;)
